NIROX Foundation has postponed its annual Spring Jazz concert to Sunday 13 September 2026 following forecasts of torrential rain expected this weekend. The event, presented by Standard Bank Private, will still take place at NIROX Sculpture Park, with organisers confirming that all previously purchased tickets remain valid for the new date.

947 Joburg Day returns to Johannesburg on Saturday, 5 September 2026, bringing together some of South Africa’s biggest music artists for a full day of live entertainment, food, family activities and outdoor experiences. The annual festival takes place at Crocodile Creek Polo Club in Lanseria from 9am and forms part of Gauteng’s spring events calendar. Running from 1 to 30 September 2026, the programme includes the Vaal River Carnival, Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, Joburg Day, Braam Culture Fest and dozens of spring celebrations. Johannesburg will once again become a city wide art destination when Contra.Joburg returns on Saturday, 29 August and Sunday, 30 August 2026. The fifth edition of the festival will feature more than 170 artists across 16 creative spaces in Braamfontein, the Johannesburg inner city and Rosebank. Visitors can expect open studios, exhibitions, performances, workshops and family activities throughout the weekend.
