    • Matric (Grade 12) and a recognized 3-year Degree/Diploma (NQF 6/7) in Risk Management / Internal Auditing / Accounting.
    • 2 years’ hands-on risk management or internal audit experience.
    • Know the basics of public finance and risk frameworks: PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Public Sector Risk Management Framework, ISO 31000, COSO II, and King III.
    • Skills: project management, strong communication (writing, speaking, presenting), planning & organizing, analysis, facilitation, attention to detail, judgement & decision-making, integrity, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    Minimum requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12) and a Degree/National Diploma (NQF 6/7) in Commerce, Secretarial, or Office Management & Technology.
    • 2 years providing secretariat services.
    • Basic financial administration knowledge, excellent communication, telephone etiquette, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, organisation, people skills, discretion, and the ability to research & analyse.

    Key duties:

    • Provide professional secretarial/reception support to a Senior Manager.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12) and a 3-year Degree/Diploma (NQF 6/7) in Supply Chain Management / Commerce / Science / Public Management.
    • 2+ years in Supply Chain and Drug Supply Management.
    • Understand public service legislation (Batho Pele, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, financial policies).
    • Skills: communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, typing, planning, organising, problem-solving, time management, service delivery, customer relations, and ability to interpret directives.
    • Added advantage: Experience in a pharmaceutical environment, knowledge of MEDSAS & RDM, warehousing/distribution.

    Key duties:

    • Supervise all DATA functions; ensure operations match SOPs, policies & legislation.
    • Collect DATA reports on time; follow up on overdues, reversals, cancellations.
    • Process internal orders timeously; load Green Cards into MEDSAS; transfer RDM orders.
    • Manage cost centre budgets; train, evaluate and support staff.
    • Print, sort and distribute invoices (IVs) for picking/dispatch; answer facility enquiries; return post to hospitals.
    • Filing, compile statistics and reports accurately.

    POST 33/83: Auxiliary Worker (x3 Posts)

    Minimum requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12), plus a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification, active registration with SAPC (South African Pharmacy Council).
    • Minimum 2 years staff supervision experience.
    • 5+ years (the notice says “minimum of five 2 or more years”; interpret as two or more years, ideally 5 years) in pharmaceutical warehousing, stock management, stock-takes, distribution.
    • Advantage: Supply Chain qualification; knowledge of public health policies.
    • Strong leadership, problem solving, communication, planning, time management.

    Key duties:

    • Manage store functions and supervise staff.
    • Oversee receiving, storage, issuing & distribution of pharmaceuticals.
    • Apply FIFO/FEFO inventory rules; prepare for annual & bi-annual stock-takes.
    • Handle facility complaints; keep batch records, delivery notes, temperature logs.
    • Do cyclic counts, investigate stock variances; monitor expiry dates, cold chain.
    • Manage leave, PMDS processes, time & attendance.
    • Enforce GPP, GDP, good warehousing practice and SOPs; ensure OHS compliance (including PPE).
    • Train staff, plan daily tasks, participate in internal audits and implement CAPA.
    • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment; keep the warehouse clean and organised; rotate across sections when needed.

    • Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) proficiency; understanding of stock management, PFMA, public health policies.
    • Strong computer literacy, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, attention to detail, time management, communication and people skills.
    • Advantage: Basic or Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification.

    Key duties:

    • Admin & supervisory tasks: plan and allocate daily work; manage leave and attendance.
    • Do performance reviews and implement PMDS; train, mentor and discipline as needed.

    • Maintain records & filing; collect PO documents; submit invoices for payments/penalties.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12) and a 3-year Degree/Diploma (NQF 6/7) in Financial Accounting, Accounting or Auditing.
    • 2+ years proven financial reporting/management experience.
    • Computer literacy including MS Office, Excel data analytics, and experience with BAS and PERSAL.
    • Skills: accounting & financial management, project management, numerical ability, strong communication, innovation, ability to work under pressure.

    Key duties:

    • Collate all MSD financial information for timeous reporting.
    • Compile GRAP-compliant monthly, interim and annual financial statements and monthly management accounts.
    • Keep accounts reconciled up to the general ledger; provide info to internal/external stakeholders.
    • Apply GRAP, PFMA, Treasury Regulations and SCM policies (including PPPFA).
    • Use MS Excel effectively for reporting; leverage inventory management knowledge to support MSD’s core function.
    • Supervise staff and manage risks.

      • Before appointment, the Department may run checks (criminal, citizenship, qualifications, directorships, social media, financial records, references).
    8. Medical surveillance:
      • The recommended candidate may undergo medical surveillance as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993.
    9. No fees:
      • Never pay for a job application. The Department does not charge any money.

    Employment Equity: People with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Coloured Males and Females, Indian Males and Females, White Males and Females are also encouraged to apply. The Department may choose not to fill a post.
