The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) is proud to showcase the dynamic and diverse offerings of Gauteng Province at the prestigious Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025. As the leading destination marketing agency for Gauteng, GTA plays a pivotal role in promoting the province’s tourism potential both locally and internationally.
At Africa’s Travel Indaba, held from 12-15 May 2025, Gauteng will take centre stage, bringing forward its signature tourism products under the theme of “Unlimited Africa.” This will highlight the province’s rich cultural heritage, world-class music and sports tourism, and vibrant bleisure (business + leisure) experiences. The GTA will use this significant platform to connect with global tourism buyers, media, and stakeholders, reinforcing Gauteng’s position as the ultimate destination for both domestic and international visitors.
Visitors to the Gauteng Pavilion (Stand L01) will experience an immersive showcase of the province’s iconic attractions, including the Cradle of Humankind—a UNESCO World Heritage site—and Constitution Hill, a cornerstone of South Africa’s political history. Moreover, Gauteng’s dynamic sports and music tourism will take centre stage, with activations that spotlight the region’s high-profile events such as the Ultra Music Festival, Soweto Derby, NBA Africa Ball League, and many more.
The GTA’s stand will also feature Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) and Co-Exhibitors, offering these local businesses a platform to network, showcase their products, and create valuable connections within the global tourism trade.
The GTA’s involvement in Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 reflects its ongoing commitment to driving tourism growth and economic development across the province. With a keen focus on empowering SMMEs, the GTA will facilitate trade partnerships and networking opportunities that will elevate Gauteng’s tourism sector on the global stage.
