Johannesburg, Gauteng Tourism, also known as Visit Gauteng, is welcoming Tourism Month, Heritage Month and the spring season with appreciation, excitement and renewed purpose as the province rolls out a longer, sharper and more connected destination programme anchored in its Tourism, Heritage and Transport Months Strategic Programme and Go-to-Market Plan 2026.
Gauteng has officially launched its 2026 Spring Tourism, Heritage and Transport strategy, marking the start of Tourism Month and Heritage Month with a province wide campaign aimed at encouraging travel, supporting local businesses and showcasing the province’s diverse visitor experiences. The initiative was announced by Visit Gauteng on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, and forms part of the Gauteng Tourism, Heritage and Transport Months Strategic Programme and Go to Market Plan 2026.
