    2. Chief Director: Sports and Recreation – Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation

    • Salary: R1,494,900 per annum (Level 14) (all-inclusive package)

    Key Requirements:

    • Grade 12 and a relevant undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Sport and Recreation Management, Sport Science, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior management level.
    • Valid driver’s license and compulsory Pre-Entry Senior Management Certificate required before appointment.

    Duties:

    • Oversee the management of sport academies, federations, and club development.
    • Coordinate and implement recreational programs and school sports services.
    • Develop and promote competitive sports frameworks, policies, and strategies.

    3. Director: Infrastructure Development – Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation

    Key Requirements:

    • Grade 12 and a degree in Built Environment, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Project Management (NQF Level 7).
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level in infrastructure or project management.
    • Valid driver’s license and Pre-Entry Senior Management Certificate required.

    Duties:

    • Oversee the development and implementation of infrastructure policies and standards.
    • Direct infrastructure planning and manage construction and maintenance projects.
    • Coordinate procurement and budgeting for infrastructure projects.

    • Grade 12 and an undergraduate qualification in Archival Studies, Library and Information Science, or a related field (NQF Level 7).
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level in library or archival management.

    Duties:

    • Oversee the development and implementation of library and archival policies.
    • Manage the preservation and accessibility of public and non-public records.
    • Promote and modernize library and information services in Gauteng.

    • Coordinate and monitor the reporting of corruption and manage investigation mechanisms.
