Vaal University of Technology (VUT) is calling for applications for the role of Invigilator within the Examination & Graduation division. As an Invigilator, you will play a key role in overseeing exam venues, ensuring adherence to examination protocols, and assisting students during their exams.

Key Responsibilities of the Invigilator Role

The Invigilator’s duties are vital in maintaining a professional and secure environment during exams. The core responsibilities include:

  • Pre-Exam Setup: Arrive at the exam venue early to report to the exam office and prepare the venue.
  • Material Security: Ensure all exam papers and materials are kept secure at all times before, during, and after the exam.
  • Venue Setup and Student Management: Oversee the proper arrangement of exam venues to meet standard requirements, admit students, and seat them appropriately.
  • Conducting Exams: Distribute exam materials, assist students with queries, and ensure they follow proper exam conduct.
  • Numeracy: Strong numeracy skills are essential to carry out various tasks effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferred Experience: Experience as an Invigilator at VUT is advantageous.

  • Graduate Status: Unemployed graduates, and individuals who have not been registered or graduated from VUT within the past two years, are eligible to apply.
