    The Department of Social Development (DSD) in Gauteng has released its latest job opportunities under the DPSA Circular. These posts are aimed at strengthening service delivery across the province while ensuring equity and transformation in line with South Africa’s Employment Equity Plan.

    Here’s a detailed look at all the job vacancies under the latest DPSA Circular: Department of Social Development.

    1. Chief Engineer: Civil/Structural

    Salary: R1 266 450 – R2 388 657 per annum (OSD framework)
    Centre: Head Office (Johannesburg)

    Requirements:

    • Engineering Degree.
    • 6 years’ post-qualification experience.
    • Registration with the South African Council for Engineers.
    • Valid driver’s licence.
    • Computer literacy.

    Duties:

    • Develop and maintain engineering norms and standards.
    • Conduct feasibility studies for infrastructure projects.
    • Manage adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
    • Oversee User Asset Management and Procurement strategies.
    • Conduct project evaluations.
    • Manage teams and ensure performance.

    • 3-year tertiary qualification in Built Environment.
    • 5 years’ middle management experience.
    • Knowledge of PFMA, DoRA, Treasury Regulations, and Occupational Health & Safety Acts.
    • Valid driver’s licence.

    Duties:

    • Assess and accredit NPO infrastructure.
    • Develop and update infrastructure policies.
    • Manage procurement of NPO maintenance projects.
    • Ensure compliance with OHS and Treasury guidelines.

    • 7 years’ experience as a Professional Nurse.

    • Promote ethical nursing practices.

    6. Professional Nurse Specialty (Primary Health Care) – 2 Posts
