- Grade Level: Applicants must be in Grade 6 in the 2025 academic year and entering Grade 8 in 2027.
- Financial Need: The total household income must not exceed R20 000 per month.
- Academic Performance: Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 70% in English and Mathematics in both Grade 5 and Grade 6.
- Overall Average: A minimum overall average of 70% in Grade 5 and Grade 6 is required.

Selection Process

- Foundation Exam: Successful applicants will be invited to write an exam in Mathematics and English in December 2025.

- Placement Schools: Applicants who are successful in the interview stage will be placed at selected schools for further assessment.
- Scholarship Award: Finalists who are recommended by placement schools will receive the scholarship. A memorandum of agreement will then be signed between the foundation, the school, and the scholar’s custodian.
