Gauteng motorists could face another substantial fuel price increase in October 2026, with petrol 95 projected to rise by R3.06 a litre and petrol 93 by R2.87. Central Energy Fund figures reported on Monday, 28 September, indicate that inland petrol 95 could reach R29.98 a litre when the next adjustment takes effect on Wednesday, 7 October. The projected increases could affect motorists, commuters and businesses across Gauteng, although the final prices have not yet been officially confirmed.
