Orlando Pirates’ Sebelebele Bags PSL Goal of the Month

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has unveiled the first recipients of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership Monthly Awards. These awards recognise standout performances from players and coaches in August. TS Galaxy’s Puso Dithejane, Sekhukhune United coach Eric Tinkler, and Orlando Pirates’ Kamogelo Sebelebele were honoured as Player, Coach, and Goal of the Month, respectively.
Puso Dithejane Shines as Player of the Month
Puso Dithejane earned the Player of the Month accolade after a series of impressive performances for TS Galaxy. The midfielder played a central role in Galaxy’s strong start to the season, netting three goals and providing two assists across five league fixtures.
Dithejane’s highlight came in a memorable hat-trick against Chippa United. This secured him a Man of the Match award and edged him past other strong contenders. These contenders included Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen and Sekhukhune’s Keletso Makgalwa. His consistent displays helped TS Galaxy maintain momentum early in the season. The team is now positioned as one of the teams to watch in the Betway Premiership.

They registered victories over high-profile sides such as Orlando Pirates, TS Galaxy, Orbit College, and Durban City.
Tinkler’s tactical acumen and leadership have propelled Sekhukhune United to the top of the league table. Additionally, Babina Noko is currently holding the summit. His award reflects the impact of his strategies and the strong cohesion displayed by his squad during the opening weeks of the campaign.
Kamogelo Sebelebele Bags Goal of the Month
Orlando Pirates’ new signing, Kamogelo Sebelebele, claimed the Goal of the Month award. This followed a stunning strike against Stellenbosch FC, which secured the Buccaneers’ first win of the season. Sebelebele has made an immediate impact since joining Pirates from TS Galaxy, scoring three goals in his first seven appearances across all competitions.
His performances have not only earned individual recognition but also a spot in the Bafana Bafana squad. Sebelebele will play in this month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria. His debut season with Pirates is already proving influential both domestically and internationally.
