Mamelodi Sundowns Showcase New Home and Away Jerseys for 2025/26 Season

Mamelodi Sundowns have officially introduced their eye-catching home and away kits for the 2025/26 season. The kits are created in partnership with global sportswear giant PUMA. The reveal comes just ahead of their domestic opener. This sets the tone for what promises to be another thrilling season for the reigning champions.

The home kit sticks to Sundowns’ iconic colours. It features the familiar bright yellow jersey, paired with royal blue shorts and crisp white socks. Meanwhile, the alternate strip offers a sleek, fresh look. It includes a clean white shirt and shorts, offset by striking blue socks. Both kits are now available to fans, who will be eager to get their hands on the latest look of the country’s most dominant football side.

Celebrating a Legacy of Excellence

Brett Bellinger, marketing director at PUMA South Africa, explained the concept behind the vibrant new design. “The latest Sundowns kit is a tribute to the playing style and achievements that have shaped this incredible club. From eight consecutive Premiership titles to continental glory and even participation on the global stage at the FIFA Club World Cup, this team has made its mark.”

The new jersey design incorporates a unique underarm print inspired by traditional South African hand-dyed textiles. Bellinger added that this kaleidoscope-like pattern is interwoven with data-driven graphics based on player movements. This offers a modern twist that reflects both heritage and innovation.

More Than a Jersey—A Statement of Identity

Club spokesperson and former player Tiyani Mabunda also spoke about the deeper meaning behind the kits. “This isn’t just a new look; it’s a visual representation of the football philosophy we live by, what we call ‘shoe-shine-and-piano’. This is about our patient, stylish and flair-driven build-up play that fans have come to love.”

Mabunda noted how the shirt’s design encourages a sense of unity between the players and the supporters. “When our fans raise their hands to sing or cheer, they’re not just backing the team, they’re displaying our identity. It’s a reminder to the players of what the badge represents and what is expected from them on the pitch.”

A New Season Dawns with High Expectations

The new kit launch adds to the mounting excitement as Sundowns prepare to kick off the 2025/26 campaign. Their first match comes with an MTN8 quarter-final clash at home against Richards Bay. The fixture is scheduled for next Sunday at Lucas Moripe Stadium. All eyes will be on the Brazilians to see whether they can extend their domestic dominance into yet another successful season.

As the team gears up to defend their titles and chase further continental success, the fresh kit symbolises more than just a new season. It reflects a legacy, a philosophy, and a promise of excellence. With fans expected to pack the stands donning the latest gear, Masandawana’s colours will blaze across the pitch as they aim for glory.

Sundowns’ Style Speaks Loudly in 2025/26

In true Sundowns fashion, the launch isn’t just about apparel; it’s about pride, passion, and playing the beautiful game the Mamelodi way. As the champions take to the field in their new kits, they’ll do so carrying a piece of tradition, culture, and relentless ambition stitched into every seam.
