Education is a powerful tool that can open doors to many opportunities. In South Africa, where access to quality education can often be a challenge, the Schauenburg Education Trust Bursary presents a significant opportunity for young black students. This bursary aims to contribute to the socioeconomic transformation of the country by providing financial assistance to students pursuing degrees in critical sectors such as Engineering, Business Administration, and Economics.

About Schauenburg (Pty) Ltd and the Schauenburg Education Trust

Schauenburg (Pty) Ltd, also known as Schauenburg Systems, is a South African company specializing in manufacturing innovative mine safety equipment and advanced electronic products. The company is known for developing cutting-edge communication systems, providing turnkey solutions that enhance safety and efficiency in the mining sector.

In line with their commitment to socioeconomic transformation, Schauenburg established the Schauenburg Education Trust to help students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds pursue higher education. This initiative focuses on providing educational bursaries to black students, enabling them to study in fields such as Electronics, Engineering, and Business Administration.

The Schauenburg Education Trust offers bursaries for undergraduate studies in various fields, providing a comprehensive funding package to ensure students can focus on their studies without worrying about financial constraints. The fields covered by the bursary include:

    1. Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering (BSc / BEng)
    2. Business Administration (BCom)
    3. Business Management (BCom)

These fields were selected to align with the growing need for skilled professionals in South Africa, particularly in the engineering and business sectors. The bursary is particularly focused on addressing the skills shortage in these critical areas, ensuring that more qualified professionals are available to meet the country’s future needs.
