Legends MX is the best of both worlds. Thrill seekers can enjoy adrenalin-pumping rides on the MX, mountain biking and 4×4 trails, while the scenery, lapa and braai facilities make for a beautiful and relaxing picnic post.
The central location of the park in Donkerhoek, Cullinan, makes it easily accessible – and it’s open on weekends and public holidays.
The park, a working farm with cattle and indigenous wildlife, also has a family restaurant, the Mount Perry Diner, which also sells firewood, ice and charcoal, among other supplies. The diner is open Saturdays and Sundays from 7.30am to 4.30pm.
Braai facilities in the park can be used on a first come, first served basis but the shade lapas must be reserved; securing one for the day costs R120.
For the extreme sports enthusiast the MX trails, including one for children, will keep you occupied. The park also has outride trails, from a 5km fun run trail to the longest one, at 25km.
