  • Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification. You must submit documentary proof.

  • Criminal Record: You must have no criminal record or pending criminal cases. Candidates must allow the TMPD to take their fingerprints at their own expense.
  • Sexual and Child Offender Register: You cannot appear on the sexual and child offenders register.
  • South African Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen and reside in the City of Tshwane. Proof of residence and an affidavit confirming your address (if the surname differs from the registered owner) are required.
  • Age Range: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Health Requirements: You must be medically fit, according to occupational health procedures. A medical certificate confirming the ability to perform strenuous exercise is necessary.
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must pass a physical fitness evaluation and assessment.
  • Psychometric Assessment: You must undergo and pass a psychometric evaluation.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required. You must pass a language assessment.
