Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has urged his players to remain focused after defeating Orlando Pirates 2 to 0 in the MTN8 final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 10 October 2026. Goals from Teboho Mokoena and Iqraam Rayners secured the trophy for the Tshwane club, giving Sundowns their second title of the 2026/27 season. Despite the victory, Cardoso warned that upcoming CAF Champions League, Carling Knockout and Betway Premiership commitments would require the team to maintain its discipline.
