October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026, putting renewed focus on early detection, timely diagnosis and access to breast cancer care in Gauteng and around the world. From 1 to 31 October, the World Health Organization is marking the month under the theme, “Every story is unique, every journey matters,” as breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women globally.
