Orlando Pirates have confirmed that attacking midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi has completed a permanent transfer to Bahrain Premier League club Alkhaldiya Sports Club. The announcement was made on Monday, 24 August 2026, ending days of speculation surrounding the 28 year old’s future after he was left out of the Buccaneers’ MTN8 semifinal first leg victory over Sekhukhune United. According to the club, Maswanganyi requested the opportunity to continue his career abroad and Pirates agreed to the move after discussions with the player and his representatives.
