    Academic Requirements for the EIT Programme

    • Mechanical Engineering Graduates: Candidates must have completed a B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Structural Engineering Graduates: Candidates must have completed a B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Structural Engineering.
    • Civil Engineering Graduates: Candidates must have completed a B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
    • Chemical Engineering Graduates: Candidates must have completed a B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.

    Candidates must also be able to provide proof of the successful completion of their degree and submit academic records with their application. Shortlisting for the programme will be based on academic performance, so it’s crucial for candidates to submit their most recent academic results when applying.

    • Driver’s Licence: During the programme, EITs will be required to visit various sites, which may involve travel to different locations, particularly in Mpumalanga and Gauteng Provinces. Therefore, having a valid driver’s licence is advantageous. While it is not a strict requirement, applicants who hold a driver’s licence will be prioritized.
    • Document Submission: Candidates must submit certified copies of the following documents as part of their application:
      • Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
      • South African Identity Document (ID)
      • Senior Certificate or N3 Certificate
      • Academic Record
      • Driver’s Licence (if applicable)
