The Gauteng Department of Health is seeking qualified and experienced Lecturers to join their Nursing Education and Training department at the Gauteng College of Nursing. These positions will play a vital role in educating and training the next generation of nurses.

Key Responsibilities
Lecturers will be expected to:
- Provide comprehensive education and training to student nurses.
- Coordinate clinical learning experiences between campus and healthcare facilities.
- Support the college’s vision and promote its image.
- Implement and assess student competencies through various teaching strategies.
- Participate in nursing research, community engagement, and professional development.
PND I Requirements
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent; Diploma/Degree in Nursing (R.425) or equivalent; Diploma in Midwifery.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Professional Nurse (less 1 year if appointed from outside the public service).
- Additional Requirements: Proof of current SANC registration, Assessor and Moderator certification, computer literacy (MS Office), and strong communication skills.
PND II Requirements
- Education: Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent; Diploma/Degree in Nursing (R.425) or equivalent; Diploma in Midwifery.
- Experience: Minimum of 14 years’ nursing experience post-registration with SANC, including at least 10 years in nursing education.
- Additional Requirements: Proof of current SANC registration, Assessor and Moderator certification, computer literacy (MS Office), and excellent problem-solving, report writing, and communication skills.
Salary Package
- PND I: R476,367 – R559,548 per annum (plus benefits)
- PND II: R583,989 – R766,686 per annum (plus benefits)
