10 Confirmed PSL Signings: Top Transfers Heating Up the New 2025/26 Season

As the PSL transfer window gains momentum, clubs across the country are putting the finishing touches on their squads for the new season. With July now behind us, some of the top-flight teams have already made major moves to strengthen their chances for the 2025/26 campaign.

Big-Name Clubs Wasting No Time

Orlando Pirates have led the charge in the transfer market, making several high-profile additions. Among them is Oswin Appollis, a talented forward whose performances last season made him one of the hottest properties in the league. The Buccaneers also brought in Sipho Mbule from Sundowns, a midfielder known for his passing range and composure.

Defensively, Sihle Nduli has arrived from Stellenbosch, while Chippa United’s Sinoxolo Kwayiba adds youthful energy to the backline. Pirates have also added Tshepang Moremi from AmaZulu. Meanwhile, Monnapule Saleng, who had fallen out of favour, has been sent out on loan to Orbit College in a bid to reignite his career.

Kaizer Chiefs, on the other hand, have taken a different approach. While they’ve been quieter in the market, young right-back Thabiso Monyane has caught the eye in pre-season and could be one to watch in the coming months.

Sundowns Staying Selective

Unlike their Soweto rivals, reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns have opted for minimal changes. Their only major signing to date is Fawaaz Basadien, a versatile left-back who joined from Stellenbosch FC. The 27-year-old had been linked with both Chiefs and Pirates but ultimately chose the champions, adding depth to an already star-studded squad.

Mid-Table Movers Strengthen Strategically

Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune United have also made notable additions as they aim to build on strong finishes last season. Stellies secured the signature of goal machine Muzumuhle Khanyi, who netted 18 times for Hungry Lions in the second tier. His arrival could be a game-changer for the club’s attack.

Sekhukhune pulled off a major coup by signing Miguel Timm, who returns to Gauteng after a solid stint at Pirates. His leadership in the midfield will be vital as the club looks to challenge for a top-four finish again.
