On the banks of the Vaal River near Vereeniging, Maccauvlei Golf Club is one of South Africa’s most historic and highly rated courses, ranked 39th on the country’s Top 100. The par-72, 18-hole layout — shaped by George Peck and later reworked by Peter Matkovich — is famed for its towering trees, river holes and classic parkland character that has tested golfers for generations.

The club is superbly equipped, with a driving range, putting green, pro-shop, golf carts and pull trolleys, a welcoming clubhouse and bar, function facilities and a halfway house. Open to members and non-members alike, Maccauvlei offers a memorable, tree-lined golfing experience in the heart of the Sedibeng region.
