Requirements:

To be considered for the Professional Nurse Speciality position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Qualification: A Basic R425 qualification (Diploma or Degree in Nursing) or an equivalent qualification that is recognized by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
2. Current Registration: Active registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
3. Experience: At least four (4) years of nursing experience after registering as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
4. Specialty Qualification: A post-basic qualification (at least one year) accredited by the SANC in oncology specialties (as defined in the glossary of terms).
5. Competencies/Skills:
   • A comprehensive understanding of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
   • Ability to perform clinical nursing practice in line with scope and standards.
   • Competence in providing quality nursing care and leading shifts in a unit.

Key Duties:

1. Qualification: Basic R425 qualification (Diploma or Degree in Nursing) or equivalent, recognized by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
