Salary Package:
- PND I: R476 367 – R559 548 per annum (plus benefits)
- PND II: R583 989 – R766 686 per annum (plus benefits)
Requirements
To qualify for these prestigious positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- PND I:
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing (R.425) or an equivalent qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse, along with a Diploma in Midwifery.
- A Nursing Education qualification registered with SANC.
- A minimum of 4 years of appropriate and recognisable nursing experience after registration with SANC.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Registration as an Assessor and Moderator.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with strong communication, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
- PND II:
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing (R.425) or equivalent qualification allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse, including a Diploma in Midwifery.
- A Nursing Education qualification registered with SANC.
- A minimum of 14 years’ experience in nursing after registration, with at least 10 years in nursing education.
- Valid driver’s licence and Assessor/Moderator registration.
- Strong computer literacy, communication, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing education and training to student nurses.
- Coordinating clinical learning exposure between campus and clinical facilities.
- Supporting the vision and mission of the Gauteng College of Nursing.
- Implementing assessment strategies to measure students’ competencies.
- Managing student data and participating in nursing research and community engagement.
- Contributing to continuing professional development in nursing education.
