Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate teaching and learning in both theoretical and practical settings, including Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
- Foster partnerships and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, especially within the Department of Health.
- Participate in the day-to-day management and operations of the campus.
- Manage the academic budget and provide necessary academic support to students.
- Play an active role in research and community engagement.
- Develop, implement, and assess the nursing curricula to ensure quality education.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A Grade 12/National Senior Certificate.
- A basic qualification in Nursing (diploma/degree) accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- A post-basic qualification in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration, registered with SANC.
- Minimum of 9 years’ experience in nursing, including at least 5 years in Nursing Education after acquiring the Post-basic qualification in Nursing Education.
- A post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care (R.48).
- A Master’s degree in Nursing.
- SANC registration, computer literacy, and a valid driver’s license.
- Assessor and Moderator registration certification.
Skills and Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of nursing education practices and regulatory standards.
- Strong understanding of nursing ethics, legislation, and professional practices.
- Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
