Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate teaching and learning in both theoretical and practical settings, including Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
Foster partnerships and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, especially within the Department of Health.
Participate in the day-to-day management and operations of the campus.
Manage the academic budget and provide necessary academic support to students.
Play an active role in research and community engagement.
Develop, implement, and assess the nursing curricula to ensure quality education.

Required Qualifications & Experience

A Grade 12/National Senior Certificate.
A basic qualification in Nursing (diploma/degree) accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
A post-basic qualification in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration, registered with SANC.
Minimum of 9 years’ experience in nursing, including at least 5 years in Nursing Education after acquiring the Post-basic qualification in Nursing Education.
A post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care (R.48).
A Master’s degree in Nursing.
SANC registration, computer literacy, and a valid driver’s license.
Assessor and Moderator registration certification.

Skills and Knowledge

Extensive knowledge of nursing education practices and regulatory standards.
Strong understanding of nursing ethics, legislation, and professional practices.
Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
