The Picnic Club is a laid-back summer Sunday gathering set on the lawns of the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria, running from 10:00 to 17:00 on 7 December.
It’s designed as a relaxed sanctuary of sunshine, live music, good food, and easygoing social energy, letting you stretch out, slow down, and enjoy the day under the African sky.
Your ticket includes a ready-to-go Picnic Club basket and blanket, packed with snacks, treats, eco-friendly cutlery and cups, plus a few curated surprises, so there’s no need to haul your own setup.
A full live music line-up – including Albert Frost, Zebra, Tidal Waves, Simeon Kriel, Tea & Oranges, and DJ Mike Lesar – carries the vibe from mellow afternoon into golden-hour groove, supported by food stalls, sweet treats, cocktails, and festival classics.
Reasonable extras are welcome (friends, family, sunscreen, sealed soft drinks, optional snacks), but alcohol, glass, big gazebos, pets, open flames, and outside sound systems are not allowed to keep the space comfortable and safe for everyone
