Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the activities of Quality Assurance (QA) within the institution.
  • Organize and participate in QA audits to ensure that academic standards meet national expectations.
  • Develop and implement continuous quality improvement programs.
  • Manage complaints, compliments, and suggestions in line with national core standards.
  • Work to address gaps identified in audits and improve the institution’s processes.
  • Promote the image and standards of the college.
  • Evaluate institutional processes to ensure alignment with SANC (South African Nursing Council) and CHE (Council on Higher Education) accreditation criteria.
  • Participate in curriculum development, review, and evaluation.

Requirements

  • A Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate.
  • A Basic qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in Nursing Education and Administration, which allows registration as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/Accoucheur.
  • A Post Basic Qualification (R.212 or R48) registered with SANC.
  • A Master’s in Clinical Nursing will be an added advantage.
  • A certificate in Quality Assurance will be a plus.
  • Assessor and Moderator certification is also advantageous.
  • A minimum of 4 years (PND1) or 14 years (PND2) of relevant nursing experience.
  • Teaching experience in nursing is an added advantage.
  • Proof of current SANC registration.
  • Strong communication, supervisory, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license.
