Most Expensive Range Rover Sport in SA: Pricing Revealed

Jaguar Land Rover has officially lifted the veil on the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon – the most premium and expensive Range Rover Sport ever offered in South Africa. With a striking mix of carbon fibre enhancements and top-tier performance specs, this latest flagship redefines luxury in the performance SUV space.

Price Tag That Sets a Record

The new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon enters the local market with a price starting at R3,822,300, making it R150,800 more expensive than the previous range-topper, the SV Black. This marks a significant milestone in the Sport lineup and cements the SV Carbon as the priciest variant in the range.

The vehicle will make its global debut at Range Rover House during Monterey Car Week on 13 August. Jaguar Land Rover has encouraged interested buyers to contact their nearest dealership for availability.

As with other Range Rover models, the SV Carbon comes with a 5-year/100,000km warranty and maintenance plan.

Exterior: Forged Carbon Fiber Flair

The SV Carbon distinguishes itself with a Forged Carbon Exterior Pack, delivering aggressive styling via subtle carbon fibre detailing around the body – including accents on the Active Quad Exhaust. For those seeking even more boldness, customers can choose an optional Twill Carbon finish, which introduces a diagonal weave pattern, or an exposed carbon fibre bonnet.

The standard wheel setup includes 23-inch lightweight forged alloy rims, paired with Anodised Black brake calipers. For maximum customization, customers can upgrade to 23-inch carbon fibre wheels and carbon ceramic brakes, available in blue, yellow, carbon bronze, or black finishes.

Interior: Ultra-Luxury with a Personal Touch

Inside, the SV Carbon continues the carbon fibre theme, extending Forged Carbon touches to the seatbacks and dashboard. The cabin can also be customized with the Twill Carbon interior package as an alternative.

There are four distinct interior themes available:

  • Ebony
  • Ebony and Rosewood
  • Light Cloud and Ebony
  • Cinder Grey and Ebony (leather-free, using Ultrafabrics material)

To elevate luxury even further, Jaguar Land Rover has added Moonlight Chrome accents and SV-illuminated side plates.

Performance: Supercar Speeds in SUV Form

At the heart of the SV Carbon is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine supported by mild-hybrid technology. This powerhouse produces 467kW and 750Nm, launching the SUV from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds. It reaches a top speed of 266km/h, making it not only the most luxurious but also the fastest Range Rover Sport.

Power is delivered via an all-wheel-drive system, with gear changes managed by an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Adding to its dynamic capability is 6D Dynamics Suspension, a system that uses hydraulically linked air suspension with pitch and roll control to enhance comfort, stability, and precision in any driving condition.
