MORAME is proud to announce an inspiring Mandela Day fundraiser event, set to take place on Saturday, 19th July 2025, at the vibrant Cirqlar@Bidon. This special occasion aims to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela through a rich tapestry of arts, culture, and community spirit, all while raising vital funds for MORAME’s impactful initiatives.
The day promises an immersive experience for all attendees, featuring a captivating photography exhibition of Madiba, offering a poignant journey through his life and times. The air will resonate with powerful poetry readings and the soulful sounds of local jazz musicians, creating an atmosphere of reflection and celebration. Guests can explore a diverse array of food, arts, and crafts stalls, showcasing local talent and flavours.
Adding to the significance of the event, esteemed speakers including the Cllr Sivuyile Boyce, MMC WRDM Economic and Re-Industrialisation, Cllr Lucky Sele, Mayor of Mogale City (amongst other notable figures) will share insights on Mandela’s enduring principles and the importance of collective action in building a better society. In addition, Mr. Kevin Joseph, know as Madiba’s Lens man, will be selling his book, Mandela in Focus and will be auctioning 6 pieces of artwork in remembrance of Mandela.
