Basha Uhuru 2026 – Sounds of Freedom returns to Constitution Hill on Saturday, 27 June 2026, bringing all the Basha vibes to get your creativity flowing for the summer season. Join us for the 14th edition of this iconic music event, a celebration that has become a defining moment on Johannesburg’s cultural calendar.

The Basha Uhuru 2026 festival is a full-day experience that opens at 10h00, giving festival goers a chance to enjoy live music, performances, activations, food stalls and bars at the Curated Market. From the moment the gates open, the energy of Constitution Hill comes alive with creativity, community and the spirit of freedom that gives the festival its name.

As always, Basha Uhuru is committed to providing platforms for up-and-coming artists and new talent, while also bringing you local mega stars. This year’s line up will include Zee Nxumalo, Bucie, DJ Cleo, Hitboss SA, Lia Butler, Atoms Blaq x Maline Aura and Lochive, with further artists still to be announced.

Whether you are a long-time fan of the festival or experiencing it for the first time, the Basha Uhuru 2026 line up promises something for every kind of music lover.

Party goers can also look forward to a special guest performance from this year’s Basha Uhuru Music Legacy Award winner, the legendary hip-hop group Skwatta Camp.
