Embark on a culinary journey through Johannesburg and immerse yourself in the rich array of African flavors that the city has to offer.

Choose between two vibrant location—the bustling suburb of Yeoville or the artistic Maboneng—for an unforgettable taste adventure.

Our ‘Taste of Africa’ experience takes place in two of Johannesburg’s most culturally diverse areas, both celebrated for their extensive selection of African cuisine.

In Yeoville, available at 3 PM, you’ll explore one of South Africa’s most eclectic suburbs. This area is a melting pot of African cultures, hosting a multitude of African nationals within a single square mile. Its vibrant history is deeply intertwined with migration patterns across Africa. Come with us as we hop on to some of Yeoville’s authentic African cuisine restaurants.

Alternatively, opt for Maboneng, with tours at 12 PM and 5 PM. This newly developed suburb is a hub of creativity, adorned with street art and graffiti, and is renowned for its dynamic mix of art, culture, and, importantly, a variety of African cuisines.

During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to savor a diverse range of African dishes, including specialties from:

South Africa
Ghana
Nigeria
Cameroon
Zimbabwe
Congo

Each tasting session includes a selection of at least 2 distinct dishes, carefully chosen to showcase the day’s culinary theme. To enhance your experience, consider adding an African beer tasting to your booking. This will allow you to enjoy a range of beers from across the continent, perfectly complementing your culinary exploration.
