A Decade of Fon: Celebrate 10 Years of Tshwanefontein

The heartbeat of Pretoria’s cultural scene is pulsing louder than ever as Tshwanefontein returns this Sunday for a massive milestone. Known affectionately as “The Fountain of Youth,” this iconic event is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026. This isn’t just another Sunday session; it is the beginning of a year-long celebration marking a decade of music, memories, and the unmistakable spirit of the capital.

The Return of the Capital’s Soul

Curated by the trailblazers at HomeComing Events, Tshwanefontein has spent the last ten years breaking barriers and uniting the city’s youth. After a brief hiatus, the movement returned with a vengeance in 2025, and now, in 2026, it is rolling out ten unique “moments” to honour its legacy. The March 1st edition promises to reignite the inner city with a curated lineup of alternative sounds, high-energy performances, and a crowd that truly defines “Pitori” cool.

What to Expect at Tshwanefontein: 012 Central Takeover

Taking place at its spiritual home, 012 Central in the Pretoria CBD, the festival offers an urban daytime experience like no other. The industrial-chic courtyard of 381 Helen Joseph Street becomes a playground for the city’s trendsetters, providing a safe and inclusive space to dance the day away.

The organisers are famous for their “no bad vibes” policy, ensuring that the atmosphere remains electric but respectful. Furthermore, because this is a 10-year anniversary event, you can expect special installations and a production level that surpasses previous editions. Whether you are a regular or a first-timer, the “Fountain” is designed to make you feel right at home.
