The Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) is honoured to welcome the world as Johannesburg becomes the first African city to host the G20 Leaders’ Summit on 22–23 November 2025. This historic milestone is more than a global gathering, it is an opportunity to showcase Gauteng as Africa’s economic powerhouse and South Africa’s cultural heart.
At GTA, we are committed to ensuring every delegate, visitor, and partner experiences the best of Gauteng through our strategic contributions to the G20 Summit:
For GTA, the G20 Summit is not only about welcoming global leaders but also about cementing Gauteng’s position as a hub of culture, innovation, and sustainable tourism for decades to come.
