As the Betway Premiership resumed following the international break, Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi admitted that the club is actively working on reducing the size of its squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Soweto giants have been busy in the transfer market, recently welcoming high-profile arrivals such as Khanyisa Mayo, Lebohang Maboe, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Paseka Mayo, Thabiso Monyane, and Etiosa Ighodaro. The signings reflect Chiefs\u2019 ambitions to mount a serious title challenge this season, but the influx of new faces has left the squad looking overcrowded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about the challenge, Nabi acknowledged that while having quality depth is positive, it also means some players risk being sidelined. He confirmed that the club is exploring options to loan out players who are not getting regular minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cYes, it is true that the squad is big. The club is working on options to try to offload the squad, especially to give the possibility to some players that didn\u2019t have the consistency or enough time to play more regularly at other teams,\u201d said Nabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
