Customers on Tier 5 who pay with their credit cards at Astron Energy or Caltex stations can earn back as much as R10 per litre.

That’s a massive 46% off the inland price of 95 unleaded petrol, which sits at R21.55 per litre. In effect, motorists could pay as little as R11.55 per litre.

Even those on the lowest UCount tier still benefit, earning R0.60 per litre back, which adds up to around R27 in rewards on a small hatchback’s fuel tank.
