\n<\/script>\n<\/div><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-minimum-competence-and-core-requirements\">Minimum Competence and Core Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must meet the competency framework set out in the <strong>Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000<\/strong> and related regulations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Public Administration, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, or equivalent (NQF Level 7).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree in Management Sciences, Business Administration, or Business Leadership (advantageous).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 10 years\u2019 managerial experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level within local government.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience in institutional transformation, governance systems, and performance management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge of municipal policy, legislation, and compliance frameworks, including MFMA regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated success in infrastructure development, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Candidates without the MFMA minimum competency requirements will be required to obtain them within <strong>18 months<\/strong> of appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-application-and-enquiries\">Application and Enquiries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates should ensure their applications include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Certified copies of qualifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identity document.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driver\u2019s licence (if applicable).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current professional registration (if applicable).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications will not be considered if documentation is incomplete.
