This made it the second best-selling vehicle overall, just behind the Toyota Hilux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not far behind was the Suzuki Swift, which secured the runner-up spot in the budget category with 1,872 units sold. Close behind was the Kia Sonet, which enjoyed a strong month with 1,103 sales, securing seventh position.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gauteng.net\/whats-on-g\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/gauteng-image-1755852537-1024x684.png\" alt=\"Gauteng News Image\" class=\"wp-image-24532\" style=\"width:524px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Image: Toyota<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-family-favorites-and-compact-suvs\">Family Favorites and Compact SUVs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eighth place went to the <a href=\"https:\/\/topauto.co.za\/features\/135478\/best-selling-cars-under-r300000-in-south-africa-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Suzuki Ertiga<\/a>, which appealed to family buyers with 980 units sold, while the Nissan Magnite recorded 790 sales, earning ninth place.
