The authorities scheduled closures on the N12 Section 19 eastbound at Jetpark Interchange, N17 Section 2 westbound at Denne Plaza Toll Gate, N3 Section 12, and the R21 to replace aging overhead gantry signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-purpose-of-the-upgrade\">Purpose of the Upgrade<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Progress Hlahla, SANRAL\u2019s Provincial Head for Gauteng, said the upgrades aim to improve road visibility, provide motorists with accurate information, and enhance overall road safety. &#8220;This project is part of SANRAL\u2019s ongoing initiative to replace old overhead signage along national roads.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The replacement of overhead signs is essential as many of the existing structures have reached the end of their service life. Modern gantry signs are more durable, better illuminated, and easier for drivers to read at high speeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-details-of-the-lane-closures\">Details of the Lane Closures<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The planned lane disruptions will occur as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>N12-19 Eastbound:<\/strong> Jetpark Interchange<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>N17-2 Westbound:<\/strong> Denne Toll Plaza<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>N3-12 and R21:<\/strong> Near OR Tambo southbound off-ramp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Drivers are advised that lane closures may affect traffic flow, especially during peak hours.
