Enthusiasts of the iconic hot hatch had to wait patiently, but Volkswagen has now assured that the wait is nearly over. However, the updated model benefits from a 15 kW increase in power compared to its predecessor, with all power routed to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Torque figures remain unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is an impressive 195 kW and 370 N\u00b7m, enabling a 0\u2013100 km\/h sprint in just 5.9 seconds \u2013 half a second quicker than the pre-facelift model.
