Ribeiro emerged as the biggest winner during the PSL Awards, which were broadcast on Tuesday night, walking away with the Footballer of the Season <\/a>and Players\u2019 Player of the Season awards, the two highest honours in the local game. His outstanding performances ensured he edged out talented youngsters Relebohile Mofokeng of Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United\u2019s Keletso Makgalwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In line with PSL regulations, Footballer of the Season is decided by top-flight coaches, who are prohibited from nominating players from their own teams. Meanwhile, the Players\u2019 Player of the Season award is determined by fellow professionals, with each club submitting up to 30 votes, none of which can be cast for a teammate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 26-year-old, who finished the Betway Premiership season as the leading goal scorer, also walked away with the Top Goalscorer award after netting 16 league goals.
