Orthopaedics<\/strong> will include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-patient-care\">1. <strong>Patient Care<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Providing comprehensive medical care to <strong>Orthopaedic\/Hand and Microsurgery patients<\/strong>, covering both <strong>general and subspecialty<\/strong> cases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing <strong>referrals and transfers<\/strong> from <strong>level 1, 2, and 3 facilities<\/strong> within the hospital drainage area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducting <strong>daily ward rounds<\/strong> in the Orthopaedic wards, attending to both inpatient and outpatient cases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Consulting<\/strong> with other departments to manage complex cases and ensuring <strong>meticulous discharge summaries<\/strong> for all patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing <strong>Orthopaedic outpatient and subspecialty clinics<\/strong>, ensuring proper <strong>up-referral<\/strong> of patients to subspecialists and <strong>down-referral<\/strong> of stable patients to level 1 clinics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-teaching-and-mentorship\">2. <strong>Teaching and Mentorship<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Providing formal training and mentoring to <strong>junior medical officers<\/strong>, <strong>registrars<\/strong>, and <strong>Orthopaedic\/Hand and Microsurgery students<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mentoring <strong>nurses<\/strong> and allied health workers in the <strong>Orthopaedic wards and clinics<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extending <strong>outreach<\/strong> training to <strong>level 2 and 3 hospitals<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-collaborative-work\">3. <strong>Collaborative Work<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborating with the <strong>University of Witwatersrand<\/strong>, <strong>University of Pretoria<\/strong>, and <strong>Sefako Makgatho University<\/strong> for joint appointments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working alongside <strong>other healthcare professionals<\/strong> to improve patient outcomes across the department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"gaute-581102566\" class=\"gaute-inbetween-content gaute-entity-placement\" style=\"margin-top: 30px;margin-bottom: 30px;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;text-align: center;\"><div class=\"gaute-adlabel\">Advertisement<\/div><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-1852772760112594\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1852772760112594\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"1819787043\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
