The art, tech and digital worlds are in for a treat in the next two weeks – the Fak'ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival takes place at the Tshimologong Precinct in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, from 6 to 16 September 2017.
The festival will be jam-packed with events, activities, panel discussions, workshops and exhibitions over the 11 days. Topics range from art and music to robotics, artificial intelligence, animation and more.
The programme includes the Fak'ugesi Conference and the Fak'ugesi Digital Africa Exhibition, and closes off with the Fak'ugesi Beats Bloc Party. The party will feature local and international artists such as Zaki Ibrahim, Masego, Nonku Phiri, Soulection founder Joe Kay and Britain's Hannah Faith.
Tickets for the Fak'ugesi Conference on 14 September 2017 cost R180 for adults and R80 for students. Tickets for the Faku'gesi Beats Bloc Party on 16 September 2017 cost R400. Entrance is free for other events but you need to book tickets.
