Exciting news, Joburg! Melrose Arch is lighting up the city once again this silly season. Destination Christmas returns for its 2022 instalment! Not only will there be stunning light displays and family fun for all ages over the next few weeks, but they are also extending their trading hours to ensure you get all your Christmas shopping done in time. Christmas is always a special time of the year – a season in which to rejoice and spend precious time with family and friends, enjoy festive fun and create lasting memories. When it comes to creating unforgettable times with family and friends, no one does it better than Melrose Arch, which, in addition to its famous Christmas lights, has a host of exciting events lined up for the festive season.
The Christmas lights will be switched on on Thursday, 24 November, following which a number of other festive season activities will be taking place, including performances by the Drakensberg Boys Choir and Jeppe Pipe Band, children’s entertainment, a Christmas market and more.
Entry to Destination Christmas is FREE. However, do take cash along with you to do some shopping, indulge at one of the many restaurants throughout the precinct and to pay for parking.
Also, some activities and performances may have an entrance fee.
