Aloe Creek Farm is situated in the pristine bushveld of the Dinokeng area of northern Gauteng, 100km from Johannesburg. The place is a fisherman’s delight and superb fishing is available along a 1km stretch of the Elands River which the farm occupies, with an additional 4km available to guests by prior arrangement.
There are two eco-friendly self-catering accommodation options available on the farm for overnight guests - the Lebeo cottage which sleeps two and the Kudu View which sleeps four and has its own lapa with dining table and hammocks. Both cottages are fully furnished and include kitchens. Both accommodation options are fully furnished and the kitchens are fully stocked with pots and other utensils.
The farm is located along the Elands River which is a prime fishing destination and home to barbel, bass and carp. There are also yellowfish and kurper fish, which are strictly to be released if they are caught. Fishing is permitted along the one kilometre stretch of the Elands River which adjoins the farm and with prior permission it is also possible to fish along an additional four kilometres. Rod fees are included in the accommodation rates and daily anglers are welcome.
Due to its location within the Dinokeng reserve region, the farm is also a popular destination for bird-watchers and it is located within a short drive of the famous Big Five Dinokeng reserve.
