Anele Mdzikwa is Gauteng Tourism’s digital marketing and communications manager. Passionate about ideas and storytelling, she is currently responsible for defining and executing the digital marketing and e-commerce strategy at Gauteng Tourism.
Her diverse career has placed her at the forefront of embracing digital in a variety of industries, including advertising, media, brand development and TV production. With most of her experience coming from the digital space, Anele has been a part of and has played a pivotal role in growing brands like DStv, Idols South Africa, Vuzu, South African Breweries, Takealot and Kulula.
When she is not helping the tourism industry embrace digital, her passion for communications extends to topics surrounding youth development and Africa’s advancement. Through her talks, workshops and writing, she assists fellow young Africans to become informed, analytical, discerning and active media consumers who can also produce their own content across a variety of media platforms.
