From 22 - 29 September, Jozi will be home to a first of a kind tennis tournament, the SA spring open. It’s an unprecedented chance for South African tennis fans to catch some world class matches right here on local turf.
This inaugural tournament will be hosted at South Africa's "Old Lady of Tennis", The Ellis Park Tennis Courts. This facility boast 17 courts and an indoor facility. The organisers of the tournament are expecting a huge turnout, with 200 + participants expected. This is the first ever tournament which will see abled and disabled tennis players going up against each other, and we like this, six love! Especially since the tournament provides local players a chance to pit their skills against international players.
If you’re heading to Jozi to taste the green, and why not stay another day (or two) to find out see what other treats and festivities Mzanzi's culture capital has in store for you?
#staythenight at any of these great accommodations.
If you’re a foodie and into good music, drop by the DSTV International Food and Music Festival at the Kayalami Grand Prix Circuit, on the 21st September, or the 22nd after catching some Tennis.
Events and city lights are not all GP has to offer. If you like a more chilled outdoor vibe, you can experience nature right here in our backyard. From Nature and Game Reserves, cave expeditions at any of our UNESCO world heritage sites, and diamond mine tours in Cullinan, there’s plenty to choose from.
