Don't miss The Wiz at the Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, from 9 to 11 March 2018.

The classic Broadway musical is getting a modern spin, but our favourite characters, including Dorothy, Tin Woodman, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion, are still there, adventuring in the land of Oz.

Tickets cost R100.

The Wedding Expo Johannesburg 2018

10 and 11 March

Head to the Ticketpro Dome in North Riding for this year's The Wedding Expo Johannesburg, taking place on 10 and 11 March 2018.

One of the country's biggest wedding exhibitions, the event will feature everything from fashion shows and cake tastings to table decor and more. You can also look forward to the Win a Wedding competition.

Daily tickets cost R120 for adults and R30 for children aged two to 10.

Botanical Series Night Run 10km & 5km

14 March

Get your running shoes ready for the Botanical Series Night Run 10km & 5km, which takes place at the Pretoria National Botanical Garden in Tshwane on 14 March 2018.

With a choice between a 5km and 10km run, runners will make their way around this national treasure, which houses a variety of flora and fauna. The run will start at 7pm with no cut-off time, and timing cards will be collected from an hour and a half before the race.

Registration costs R85, with runners over the age of 65 and children under 13 years old paying R22.

Johannesburg Afro-Latin Festival launch event

15 to 18 March

The Johannesburg Afro-Latin Festival launch event will be happening at Thirteen Venue in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. The festival is set to be an annual affair, with the launch taking place from 15 to 18 March 2018.

There will be music and dance workshops, seminars, training and, of course, some parties during the four-day festival. The festival will also be collaborating with the Neighbourgoods Market and surrounding venues in the Braamfontein area.

Ticket prices range from R100 to R1 500.
