5 to 7 October

The rAge Expo is coming to the Ticketpro Dome in North Riding, Johannesburg, from 5 to 7 October 2018.

Thousands of casual, avid and hardcore gamers will occupy the venue over three days, playing some of the most awesome video and board games, and checking out cool gamers' gadgets, retail stores, cool art displays, costume play, comic books and South Africa's biggest BYOC event.

Day pass tickets cost R150 per person, but the experience gets even better with a weekend pass ticket, which costs R300 per person.

6 October

The Spring Fiesta 2018 is taking over the Wild Waters complex in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, on 6 October 2018.

Keeping you on your feet will be the likes of Riky Rick, AKA, Charles Webster, Lars Behrenroth, DJ Tira, Distruction Boyz, Lady Zamar, Lulo Cafe, Mo Flava, Shimza, Speedsta, Sun El Musician and many more. The event starts at noon and runs until midnight.

Ticket prices range between R150 and R2 900 (for the platinum package).

The South African Tattoo

6 and 7 October

The thunderous drums and regal trumpets of the South African Tattoo are coming to entertain spectators on 6 and 7 October 2018.

This year, the South African Tattoo will be marching to Pretoria, taking the stirring sounds of pipes and drums to the Sun Arena at Sun Time Square, Menlyn. Audiences can also look forward to a display of Highland dancing.

The Saturday has two shows, scheduled for 4pm and 7pm respectively, while the show on Sunday starts at 3pm.

Ticket prices cost between R198 and R498.

2018 SPAR Women's Challenge Joburg

7 October

Get set and go to the 2018 SPAR Women's Challenge Joburg, taking place at Marks Park Sports Club in Judith Road, Emmarentia, on 7 October 2018 from 8am until noon.

This inclusive road race brings together women from all walks of life for a cause that sees them take part in a 5km or 10km walk or run. The event attracts professional female athletes and thousands of recreational runners to race in support of women with breast cancer.

There are awesome prizes and rewards in store if you bring along a friend to participate for the first time in either the 10km or 5km challenge.

Late entries have until 6 October (10am to 4pm) to register, charged at R11O for each participant (pre-entries have closed).
