Mzansi Women's Film Festival 2018
26 to 28 October
The festival is an annual event aimed at empowering women filmmakers by showcasing films by women and about women. Attendees can look forward to an exciting programme featuring insightful workshops, masterclasses and group discussions about the issues affecting women in the film industry.

Radio Cook Off
Spatulas will flip the #GPLifestyle upside down when pairs of DJs from six different radio stations head to this World Heritage Site for a great day of delicious food, good music and fun cooking challenges. Each team will receive a bag of mystery ingredients to prepare sumptuous servings for guests, who will vote and crown the best radio cook.
Tickets start at R100, and go up to R450 for the overnight backpacker package that includes bed and breakfast.
The Haunted Forest
You can watch your favourite scary films on a big screen, or follow spooky spirits as they lure you deep into the ominous fog where you will see terrifying spiders, hear eerie sounds coming from the dark trees and witness a creature rising from the water.
Tickets cost between R50 (children under 12) and R200 (adults).
Soweto Street Cookout 2018
The cookout "celebrates social cohesion through food, beverages and fashion", and will have something everyone, with food, fashion, music, entertainment and exciting competitions for both kids and grown-ups. The event starts at 10am.

Sharpeville Food Festival 2018
This food festival offers a perfect balance of good gourmet and great musical entertainment. You can look forward to a variety of scrumptious dishes served by 20 different food stalls; refreshments from a beverage garden; helicopter rides; and amazing performances from 15 musical artists, including an international surprise act. The theme is #MatchingOutfits.
Ticket prices range between R100 and R350 (VIP). R80 to bring in a cooler box (cans only).
Vaal Whiskey and Gin Festival 2018
