The aptly named KCC La Vie en Rose is an exclusive garden restaurant that will surely become a favoured dining destination. The “KCC” indicates that you will find it within the confines of the Killarney Country Club, where parking and security are never an issue.
Combining elegance and comfort, this al-fresco restaurant makes the most of the beautiful club gardens, with fairy lights over the piazza adding to the magic during long summer evenings.
The personal touch comes courtesy of hosts Rony Muller and Yanky Woolf, who innovatively integrate elements of Moroccan, German, Indian and New York cuisine into their menu.
On the à la carte menu expect to find delicious fare such as cumin-and-coriander-spiced chicken fillets with avocado and creamy Danish feta on watercress and rocket, balanced with a healthy serving of lemon zest; home-made falafel balls on a hummus and tahini cloud, with Moroccan brinjals and chickpeas; and linguini pasta touched with cream and Moroccan-style napolitana, and topped with five grilled prawns and chopped basil.
For dessert, how tempting does this sound: white chocolate and berry mint coulis phyllo parcel, oven-baked and served with strawberry ice cream?
A separate functions menu can be adapted to suit a range of events, including birthdays, kitchen teas, weddings, corporate celebrations, high teas and more.
The restaurant is open on Monday from 7am to 4pm, and from Tuesday to Sunday from 7am to 10pm.
