Located approximately 10km from Montecasino in Fourways is the Footloose Trout Farm. Featuring 10 hectares of pristine grounds, excellent views of Johannesburg and 13 dams from which guests can make their catch of the day.

If you're looking for things to do in Gauteng but want to steer clear of malls and such then Footloose Trout Farm is a great option. It is the ideal venue for angling enthusiasts interested in either fly or conventional fishing. The estate offers multiple dams to choose from, all well stocked with Trout, Bass, Barbel and Carp.

All Trout caught have to be taken and paid for (at R115 p/kg) as only paid-up Fly Fishing Club members are able to ‘catch and release’. Bass, Carp, Barbel and Kurper may be caught and released as long as the fish are not damaged.

There is a fully equipped abattoir facility with staff on hand to gut, clean and vacuum pack your catch at no additional cost.
